The creation of the pipe smoking orangutang

The original orangutang drawing is 70x50 cm and drawn by hand with nothing but black ballpoint pen on grey recycled cardboard. My vision was to portrait the orangutang as calm as possible making it kind of zen-ish. It is sitting there all cozy with it's pipe not bothered by the rain at all. Most human, including my self, could lear from this. We should be better at slowing down and be stressed out all the time. 

The drawing from sketch to finish, took me close to 30 hours and I used up about 4 ballpoint pens.
